German footwear company Birkenstock has raised its full year 2026 revenue forecast after reporting strong sales in the third quarter, supported by growing demand for its sandals, clogs and closed-toe footwear.

Birkenstock reported third-quarter revenue of €719.5 million, up 13% from the same period last year. The result was also ahead of analysts’ average estimate of €713.4 million.

The company’s strong quarterly sales were supported by growth across its major regions. Asia-Pacific was the best performing region, with sales rising 18%. Sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) increased 15%, while the Americas recorded 11% growth.

Birkenstock also saw strong demand through its direct-to-consumer (DTC) business, which includes its own stores and website. DTC sales increased 14% during the quarter and accounted for nearly 39% of total quarterly revenue.

Demand was strong across different footwear categories. Sales of the Naples clog more than quadrupled from a year earlier, while sales of closed-toe styles, excluding the Boston clog, increased by more than 50%.

Full-Year Forecast Raised

Based on the strong performance, Birkenstock has increased its 2026 revenue growth forecast to 15%, on a constant-currency basis. The company had earlier expected revenue growth of between 13% and 15%.

However, Birkenstock has kept its full year earnings forecast unchanged at €1.90 to €2.05 per share.

The company also said the impact of disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict is likely to be lower than previously expected. It now estimates the impact in the high single digit millions of euros for the second half of the year, compared with its earlier estimate of €10 million to €12 million.

Birkenstock said changes to delivery routes and stronger sales in other markets helped reduce the impact.

The latest results show that Birkenstock continues to see strong demand for its footwear, with growth across regions and higher sales through its own retail and online channels supporting the company’s improved full year outlook.
