Skechers has strengthened its position in the U.S. footwear market, becoming the second-largest footwear brand in the country based on units sold. The company said its growth has been driven by its broad product portfolio, affordable pricing and continued focus on comfort and performance technologies. Skechers caters to consumers across multiple segments, including casual, fashion, work, children's and technical performance footwear.
“For more than three decades, Skechers has created footwear for people from all walks of life. Our goal has always been to create innovative, comfortable products that meet consumers needs,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers.
A key factor behind the brand's expansion has been the growing popularity of comfort focused innovations, including its Hands Free Slip-ins range. Skechers also offers a range of proprietary technologies such as Arch Fit, Max Cushioning, Air Cooled Memory Foam and Hyper Burst Pro.
Beyond lifestyle footwear, the company has continued to expand its presence in performance sports, with product categories covering running, golf, basketball, pickleball and soccer.
Skechers has also invested heavily in marketing and athlete partnerships to strengthen brand awareness and expand its credibility in the sports market. Its growing roster of athletes and partnerships has helped increase the visibility of the brand across major sporting platforms.
In the United States, Skechers operates more than 700 Skechers branded stores, ranging from high profile locations such as Times Square to community based stores across the country. The company also sells through its e-commerce platform and a broad network of retail partners.
The achievement highlights Skechers growing influence in the highly competitive U.S. footwear market and reflects the company's successful combination of comfort, innovation, performance and value oriented products.
