US family footwear retailer Shoe Carnival, Inc., has got shareholder approval to change its corporate name to Shoe Station Group, Inc., signalling a deliberate repositioning of its long-term commercial expansion.

The corporate moniker shift, which takes effect on 12 June 2026 (Friday), accompanies a transition in the company's public listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The retailer's common stock will commence trading under the new ticker symbol "SHOE" at the opening of the market today, concluding its run under the former symbol "SCVL" as of yesterday's close.

For the global footwear trade, the corporate restructuring outlines how large-scale retail operators are adjusting their brand portfolios to exploit specific regional strengths and digital growth vectors. Management confirmed that the Shoe Station banner has been designated as the primary growth vehicle for the group’s long-term expansion. Conversely, the established Shoe Carnival banner will remain operational in regional markets where it maintains a dominant market share.

“Our shareholders have overwhelmingly approved changing of our corporate name to Shoe Station Group, Inc. The new name and new ticker reflect our multi-banner strategy with Shoe Station as our primary long-term growth vehicle and Shoe Carnival continuing in markets where it is dominant. We will also seek to expand our business through strategic acquisitions of other footwear retailers,” said Cliff Sifford, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.

Operating out of its headquarters in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and supported by logistics operations in Evansville, Indiana, the omnichannel entity manages a portfolio of 426 stores spanning 35 US states and Puerto Rico. Its commercial footprint relies heavily on a high-volume product mix of dress, casual, and athletic footwear branded by national manufacturers. The company has instructed supply chain stakeholders, market analysts, and trade data providers to update all information systems and trading links to reflect the new corporate name and ticker symbol.

Demonstrating capital liquidity amid the structural transition, the company’s Board of Directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share. The dividend is scheduled for disbursement on 20 July 2026 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on 6 July 2026. This distribution represents the retailer’s 57th consecutive quarterly dividend payout, though the board noted that future dividend declarations remain contingent upon ongoing operational results, financial health, and broader market conditions.
