Priya Impex showcases advanced machineries for footwear at IIFF 2026

As India’s footwear and leather manufacturing sector increasingly shifts towards automation, modern tooling, and technical footwear, local machinery suppliers are stepping up to bridge the technology gap. Participating at the India International Footwear Fair (IIFF) 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, Priya Impex Consultants presented its comprehensive portfolio of shoe-making machinery, focusing heavily on the fast-growing athleisure and sports shoe segments.

Operating under its flagship in-house brand, SMAC, the company provides end-to-end machinery solutions across every stage of shoe production. Speaking at the company’s booth during the exhibition, Jayasree V, Business Development Manager at Priya Impex Consultants, highlighted the company's "cut-to-box" equipment range designed to handle cutting, stitching, assembly, and packaging under one roof.

Addressing the company's business model, Jayasree noted that Priya Impex differentiates itself from standard machinery traders in the Indian market. "Most of the people in India do only trading in machines. What they do is they’ll get the machines from their Chinese principals and sell them here in India," she explained. "What we have is a very strong in-house brand called SMAC. We are manufacturing our own machines in China, importing them, and supplying them to the customers here."

In addition to its proprietary SMAC lineup, the firm partners with international machinery manufacturers across key global hubs. Among its principal partners is the Chinese brand Emma, which manufactures specialized cutting systems. "They are manufacturing more than 200 machines per month, so it's a huge company. They do die-less cutting, leather cutting machines, and all," Jayasree added. She noted that Priya Impex also sources and supplies various specialized equipment from Taiwan, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Germany, serving domestic manufacturers as well as international clients in markets like Egypt and broader Africa.

While traditional leather footwear remains a core market, Priya Impex is heavily prioritizing technical sports footwear and non-leather alternatives. "As for our focus, we are more focused on the athleisure and sports shoes segment. Other than that, we also deal with manufacturers of leather shoes, synthetic shoes, and some goods like bags and accessories," Jayasree stated, noting that the company supplies equipment used in producing footwear for leading international brands including Puma, Adidas, Skechers, New Balance, Reebok, and Hoka.

Alongside equipment supply, after-sales technical support remains a critical focus area for the firm to minimize factory downtime. Jayasree stressed that providing responsive service across India is central to their operations. "We have qualified engineers to provide this support to our customers all over India. Whenever you need your machines serviced or prepared, our technician will be there the next day. That is the main objective of our company," she said.

Explaining the purpose of their participation at IIFF 2026, Jayasree highlighted the need to educate factory owners on modern, automated production techniques that replace traditional manual operations. "We are here to share the new innovations in machinery with the customers and the shoe factories. We want to introduce new technologies, like auto-marking," she remarked. "Traditional cutting is done with a die to cut leather and other materials. We just want to demonstrate these new options to the customers so that people can have an idea of how to reduce manpower, lower costs, and improve efficiency."
