MICAM Milano’s 102nd edition will bring together 758 footwear brands and buyers from 130 countries, with a stronger focus on international business, digital matchmaking, trend intelligence and innovation. The September show will also spotlight emerging designers, retail technology, circularity and new solutions shaping the global footwear industry.

MICAM Milano will bring together the international footwear industry from 13–15 September at Fiera Milano Rho, with its 102nd edition featuring 758 brands from 29 countries as the show expands its focus on buyers, international business and new digital tools.

The September edition includes 378 Italian and 380 international brands, with Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Germany and Portugal among the leading international markets represented. Buyers from 130 countries are expected, including established European markets as well as the United States, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Israel and Canada. New visitor markets include Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria and Ghana.

Buyer engagement remains a major focus, supported by an international incoming program developed with ICE and MAECI. A new matchmaking platform will allow visitors to search exhibitors and collections by brand and product category, communicate with companies and schedule meetings before the show. The Trends Buyer Guide will also help buyers identify key products and plan their visits.

The show’s MICAM Next program will address major changes affecting footwear, including artificial intelligence, technology, design, retail and new business models. A new Retail Hub – Accessories & Technology for the Store Experience will showcase solutions covering footwear care, packaging, hosiery, trend analysis and content creation.

MICAM is also continuing its support for emerging talent. Twelve international designers have been selected for the Emerging Designers project, with collections presented alongside seminars and a dedicated fashion show.

Innovation will feature through the Italian Start Up programme, including solutions focused on performance wear, digital footwear design, artificial intelligence, traceability and product lifecycle management.

Sustainability and regulation will also feature, with Assocalzaturifici presenting its partnership with Retex. Green to support footwear companies in circularity and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

The event will again connect with MIPEL, Milano Fashion & Jewels, TheOneMilano and SIMAC Tanning Tech through Fashion Link Milano, strengthening collaboration across related sectors and creating a broader platform for international buyers and industry professionals.
