Superfeet, the global leader in performance insoles, has launched a significant, first-of-its-kind technology enhancement to its proprietary ME3D platform. Began on 2nd June (Tuesday), consumers can generate high-precision, 3D-printed personalized insoles through an iPhone scan on superfeet.com, expanding access to Superfeet’s most advanced personalization technology. For those who prefer the in-store journey, select specialty run retailers nationwide offer a more connected experience, where local run specialty associates bring the journey to life, guiding consumers through innovative scanning technology while delivering the personalized service and community connection that defines run specialty.

Building on the success of its specialty retail experience, Superfeet is expanding ME3D personalization beyond traditional boundaries with an intuitive mobile scanning experience. By bringing this innovative foot-scanning technology into more places, Superfeet empowers runners to choose the experience that works best for them, whether scanning from home or connecting with their local running community in-store.

“This evolution allows us to deliver a level of individualized engineering that was once only possible through specialized in-person experiences, unlocking access to our most advanced one-of-one custom technology,“ said Superfeet CEO, Trip Randall. “By putting this power into the hands of consumers, we ensure that whether you are at home or on the go, the highest standard of personalized support is just a few clicks away.”

The move toward "one-of-one" personalization reflects a larger industry-wide shift: "one-size-fits-all" is a biomechanical myth. While the broader footwear market continues to prioritize mass production for the average consumer, the reality is that the human foot is as unique as a fingerprint. By shifting the focus to individualized support, Superfeet is addressing a fundamental gap in performance health. In an era where consumers expect hyper-personalized health data from their wearables and apps, the ME3D mobile experience delivers that same precision to the foundation of the body, transforming every pair of insoles into a personalized tool optimized for peak performance and injury prevention.

The process is powered by a proprietary algorithm rooted in podiatric data and biomechanical research. After a guided scan, users unlock a fully interactive experience: they can analyze their unique foot profile, including shoe size and arch height, preview a 3D rendering of their insoles, and select from specialized foam options tailored to their activity level. To further elevate the bespoke nature of the product, the mobile experience allows for further personalization, including custom engraving directly on the back heel of the insoles. Upon checkout, the individualized biometric data is sent to Superfeet’s state-of-the-art 3D-printing facility in Bellingham, Wash., where the custom insoles are precision-engineered to the user’s exact specifications.
