SNEEX launches ‘The Charlie’ Sandal Line to leverage mid-year demand

In a strategic expansion of its hybrid footwear architecture, luxury footwear brand SNEEX has announced the launch of its first open-toe silhouette, The Charlie Hy-Heel Sandal. The Atlanta-based company, founded by inventor and entrepreneur Sara Blakely, developed the warm-weather design to extend its proprietary hybrid heel (Hy-Heel) concept into the seasonal sandal segment, directly responding to established customer demand for open-toe variations. The brand's latest product introduction builds upon a commercial trajectory that began with its initial launch in August 2024 and was recently followed by the introduction of its Ballerina silhouette. The newly unveiled sandal is priced at $395 and is being distributed exclusively through the brand's direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform.
The core structural framework of the new sandal relies on Sneex INNERPLAY technology, a proprietary, patent-pending manufacturing design engineered to integrate performance-athletic componentry into formal women's footwear. From a technical and material construction standpoint, the internal mechanism re-engineers traditional high-heel assembly by incorporating layers of Supercritical Foam alongside a responsive structural support system. This specific material layout is designed to absorb ground impact forces, redistribute mechanical pressure away from the ball of the foot, and minimize lower limb and foot fatigue during extended wear periods. By embedding these high-performance cushioning materials within a traditional three-inch heel profile, the manufacturing process maintains a sleek, sculptural silhouette without sacrificing the stability and energy return typically associated with athletic footwear.
Beyond the internal foam tooling, the technical specifications of The Charlie Sandal include a fully adjustable triple-strap configuration designed to provide a customizable and secure fit across varying foot volumes, addressing the stability issues and pressure points common to open-toe strappy heels. The exterior architecture also integrates the brand's signature high-traction tread pattern on the outsole to ensure optimal grip.
Named after Blakely’s son, the sandal line is being introduced to the commercial market in five distinct colorways: Petal, Mirror, Dune, Black, and Eclipse. Brand executives noted that engineering a strappy hybrid design presented distinct technical challenges, as open-toe construction inherently exposes the foot's primary pressure points and limits the structural concealment options available in closed-toe hybrid sneakers.
The rollout of the new sandal line comes amid a period of industry validation for the brand's technical innovations in the global footwear sector. SNEEX was previously awarded the Footwear News Achievement Award for Launch of the Year in 2024, and was recognized at the Global Footwear Awards as the overall winner for Women's Fashion Sneakers. The company's market momentum has extended into 2026, during which it received an ACE Award for its impact on the accessories and footwear sector.
Additionally, founder Sara Blakely was recently inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to product design and consumer entrepreneurship, further establishing the brand's technical credentials as it seeks to scale its hybrid footwear inventory across broader seasonal categories.
