Simac Tanning Tech and Lineapelle to Host Conferences on Fashion and Technology in Italian Leather Supply Chain

Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech have announced a two-day conference series titled "Future Crossroads: Fashion and Technology in the Italian Leather Supply Chain", bringing together industry leaders, manufacturers, designers, technology providers, and policymakers to discuss the future of Italy's leather and footwear sector.

Organized in partnership with UNIC – Italian Tanneries, Assomac (National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leather Goods and Tanning Technologies), and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between fashion, manufacturing, and technological innovation while reinforcing the global competitiveness of the Made in Italy leather supply chain.

The conferences will explore how design excellence, advanced manufacturing technologies, sustainability, and research can work together to address the evolving challenges facing the leather and footwear industry. Discussions will focus on enhancing production efficiency, promoting innovation, supporting sustainable manufacturing practices, and preserving Italy's renowned craftsmanship.

The program will be held in two of Italy's most important manufacturing regions. The first conference is scheduled for September 2, 2026, at Hotel Horizon in Montegranaro (Marche), located in the internationally recognized Fermano footwear district. The second event will take place on September 3, 2026, at the Unione Industriali Napoli in Naples, a city celebrated for its rich tradition in leather goods, fashion, and artisanal craftsmanship.

Both conferences are open to the press, companies, industry stakeholders, professionals, and supply chain operators upon registration. The organizers expect the events to serve as an important platform for exchanging ideas, fostering innovation, and shaping the future direction of Italy's leather and footwear industry in an increasingly technology driven and sustainability focused global market.
