With the global leather, footwear and fashion materials industry gearing up for LINEAPELLE Milan 2026, more than 1,000 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in the 108th edition.
The three-day fair will take place from 15 to 17 September at Fiera Milano Rho, bringing together leather producers, material suppliers, component manufacturers and other industry players to showcase their Autumn/Winter 2027/2028 collections.
The strong exhibitor response comes after LINEAPELLE’s recent events in London and New York, which attracted companies and buyers from international markets. The Milan edition is expected to give the global supply chain a closer look at the latest materials, finishes, components and product ideas for upcoming seasons.
For the leather and footwear industry, LINEAPELLE will offer a strong platform to explore new materials, technologies, components and product solutions. FILO, the international exhibition for yarns and fibres, will also be hosted within the LINEAPELLE exhibition, adding another layer of material innovation for visitors and exhibitors.
Industry Issues Take the Spotlight
The fair will feature a program of talks covering some of the major issues shaping the industry, including sustainability, artificial intelligence, material innovation, traceability, changing markets and new design directions.
ICEC, UNIC – Italian Tanneries and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies will discuss new European Union rules aimed at tackling greenwashing and improving information available to consumers.
A Look at Future Materials and Trends
A major highlight will be the presentation of LINEAPELLE’s Autumn/Winter 2027/2028 trends, developed by its Fashion Committee under the theme “Prompt – Seductive Algorithms: The Illusion of Sweetness.”
The research looks at how technology, emotions and changing consumer experiences are influencing colours, textures, surfaces, finishes and materials. The trend work is designed to give companies ideas they can use while developing future products and collections.
The event will also extend into Milan Fashion Week through the 10th LINEAPELLE DESIGNERS EDITION. The 10th edition will feature nine fashion shows from 23 to 25 September and five brand presentations from 22 to 26 September, highlighting emerging designers and their use of leather.
With more than 1,000 exhibitors confirmed and only six days remaining, LINEAPELLE Milan 2026 is shaping up to be an important meeting point for the global leather, footwear, fashion and materials industries.
