Lehar Footwears Limited has expanded its sports footwear manufacturing capacity by 150% with the launch of a new production facility in Kundli, Haryana.
The new facility has an initial capacity to produce 2.5 lakh pairs of footwear per month. The company plans to gradually increase this to 5 lakh pairs per month as demand grows.
The Kundli unit will manufacture sports and athleisure footwear for Lehar's own brand, Rannr, as well as for other companies under original equipment manufacturing (OEM) arrangements.
The facility is equipped with modern manufacturing technology and automation aimed at improving production efficiency and maintaining consistent product quality. It also includes an in-house design studio, which will support product development and sampling.
The integrated setup is expected to help the company work more closely with OEM customers, from the early stages of product development through to final production.
Raj Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of Lehar Footwears Limited, said the new facility is part of the company's broader plans to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.
With the additional capacity, Lehar Footwears is looking to take on larger orders from customers in India and overseas. The expansion also comes as demand for sports and athleisure footwear continues to grow.
Lehar Footwears manufactures a range of non-leather footwear, including slippers, sandals, school shoes, sports shoes and casual footwear. In addition to the new Kundli facility, the company has manufacturing operations in Jaipur.
The expansion is expected to give Lehar a larger production base as it looks to grow both its own brands and its OEM business.
