Indian footwear and accessories brand Fizzy Goblet has entered a new phase of growth after securing a strategic investment from actor and entrepreneur Kareena Kapoor Khan. The investment strengthens the company's long-term expansion strategy as it scales its retail footprint, broadens its product portfolio, and pursues international market opportunities.
The partnership builds on Kapoor Khan's association with the brand since 2022, when she joined as its brand ambassador. Under the expanded collaboration, she will now take on a strategic role in the business, contributing to design selection, brand development, and global positioning.
Founded by Laksheeta Govil, Fizzy Goblet has evolved from a bootstrapped startup into one of India's fastest-growing premium footwear brands. After securing its first institutional funding from Accel, the company is now operating at an annual revenue run rate of approximately ₹60 crore and is targeting revenues exceeding ₹100 crore over the next 12 months.
The investment comes as Fizzy Goblet accelerates its omnichannel growth strategy. The brand has expanded its physical retail presence from four stores in 2022 to 16 stores across India, reflecting increasing consumer demand for premium Indian-designed footwear and accessories.
Originally recognized for handcrafted juttis and kolhapuris, the company has diversified into contemporary lifestyle categories, including loafers, heels, sneakers, comfort sliders, workwear footwear, handbags, and festive accessories. The broader product mix is aimed at strengthening customer engagement across multiple occasions while reducing dependence on a single category.
Commenting on the partnership, Govil said the company's vision is to build the first globally recognized Indian footwear and accessories brand. She described Kareena Kapoor Khan's strategic investment as an important milestone in achieving that ambition and strengthening the brand's international appeal.
For the Indian footwear sector, the investment reflects growing investor confidence in homegrown premium brands that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and scalable retail models. As consumer demand shifts towards premium and design-led products, brands such as Fizzy Goblet are increasingly positioning themselves to compete in international lifestyle and fashion markets.
