Global footwear brand Clarks has designated affiliate marketing specialist Awin as its official affiliate platform partner for the U.S. market, unifying its North American and UK affiliate programs under a single operational infrastructure. The strategic consolidation aims to accelerate partner-led growth, enhance brand discovery, and optimize publisher engagement by leveraging Awin’s data analytics, AI-powered tracking technology, and expansive partner network. According to company officials, the transition is designed to improve cross-border marketing efficiencies and strengthen the brand’s digital visibility, particularly across large language models (LLMs) and digital publisher channels, amidst shifting consumer behaviours and heightened macroeconomic pressures within the retail landscape.
The migration follows a strategic evaluation by Clarks, which noted a growth plateau on its previous platform. Mario Protano, Director of Performance Marketing at Clarks, confirmed that the consolidation has already yielded positive initial momentum, citing a marked increase in proactive engagement from high-quality publishers alongside a seamless onboarding phase. By aligning its transatlantic affiliate strategies, the retailer intends to build more scalable, authentic partnerships with creators and digital media outlets to drive both long-term brand equity and immediate performance marketing objectives.
The partnership reflects a broader macro-trend among major retail and lifestyle enterprises prioritizing ecosystem interoperability, platform stability, and global alignment when selecting martech vendors. Adam Weiss, President of North America at Awin, stated that the agency’s ongoing investments in the U.S. market—specifically regarding AI innovation, specialized publisher tools, and flexible tracking infrastructure—are tailored to support complex, large-scale brand migrations. Moving forward, the unified account architecture will allow Clarks to tap into Awin’s global network of over one million active partners, positioning the footwear brand to navigate rapid technological changes in digital commerce while maintaining localized marketing agility across its core international territories.
