Bata India Ltd remains confident of sustaining its sales momentum as it leverages its extensive retail footprint, expanding digital capabilities, and operational efficiencies to tap into India's growing discretionary spending, according to the company's outgoing Managing Director and CEO, Gunjan Shah.

In the company's latest Annual Report, Ashwani Windlass, Chairman of Switzerland based Bata Corporation, expressed confidence in Bata India's ability to capitalize on emerging market opportunities while reinforcing its leadership as the country's largest footwear retailer.

Windlass emphasized that the company is simultaneously investing in "future-ready" capabilities to drive long-term growth and strengthen its competitive position in the evolving footwear market.

"Our ambition is to accelerate revenue through a balanced combination of higher volumes and improved average selling prices, supported by a more premium product mix, stronger brand equity, and superior execution," Windlass said in his message to shareholders.

Bata India plans to focus on premiumization, innovation, and customer-centric strategies while continuing to enhance its omnichannel presence. The company believes rising consumer confidence and increasing discretionary spending in India will create significant opportunities for growth in the footwear sector.

With a robust retail network and ongoing investments in digital transformation, Bata India aims to strengthen its market leadership while delivering sustainable value to customers and shareholders.
