ACLE 2026 To Bring Global Leather Industry In Shanghai From Sep 1–3

The 26th China International Leather Exhibition (ACLE 2026) is set to take place from September 1–3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, bringing together leading companies from across the global leather and footwear supply chain.

Held concurrently with the 2026 International Footwear, Bags & Apparel Fashion Exhibition (MODA CHINA), the three day event will cover approximately 92,000 square meters. Exhibitors will represent a broad spectrum of the industry, including leather tanning, machinery, chemicals, synthetic leather, footwear materials and finished products such as shoes, bags, leather apparel and fur garments.

According to the China Leather Industry Association, the exhibition is expected to feature nearly 1,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, with over 35,000 professional buyers and visitors anticipated. International participation will include companies from China, Brazil, Italy, France, the United States, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Pakistan, India and Uzbekistan.

China’s domestic exhibition area will feature more than 800 exhibitors, highlighting the country’s extensive leather industry ecosystem. The showcase will bring together leading companies and industry clusters spanning leather, synthetic leather, footwear materials, machinery, chemicals and related segments, demonstrating the strength and diversity of China’s complete leather supply chain.

Green manufacturing is expected to remain a central theme at ACLE 2026. Exhibitors will demonstrate technologies covering vegetable tanning, chromium reduction, wastewater recycling, solid waste treatment and improved water reuse.

Digitalization and intelligent manufacturing will also receive significant attention. The China Leather Industry Association plans to establish a Digital and Intelligent Professional Committee during the exhibition to support digital transformation across the industry. Technologies on display will include AI-assisted leather cutting, intelligent punching, precision splitting, automated levelling and digitally controlled coating equipment.

ACLE 2026 will also serve as a platform for new product launches, with companies introducing environmentally focused leather, ultra-thin materials, functional footwear components and bio-based products.

By bringing together raw materials, processing technologies, machinery, chemicals, footwear materials and fashion applications, ACLE 2026 aims to strengthen international cooperation while showcasing the industry’s ongoing shift towards greener production, digitalization and higher value products.
